1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Paperasse, including the Paperasse website, applications, document browsing features, import tools, download pages, and related services. By using Paperasse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Paperasse.

2. The Service

Paperasse helps you access, browse, import, and search your documents. Some features may connect to third-party services, including Google authentication and storage or document services, when you choose to authorize those connections.

Paperasse is provided as an evolving product. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. We may also limit access to parts of the Service for operational, security, legal, or product reasons.

3. Accounts and Access

You may need to sign in with a supported third-party account to use Paperasse. You are responsible for maintaining control of your account credentials, devices, and authorized sessions. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your Content

Your documents, files, text, metadata, queries, and other materials that you upload, import, connect, or submit to Paperasse remain your content. You grant Paperasse a limited permission to process, store, display, transmit, and otherwise use your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.

You are responsible for your content and for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to use it with Paperasse. Do not upload or connect content that you are not authorized to use.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Paperasse. For example, you may not:

• violate any applicable law or regulation;
• infringe or misappropriate the rights of others;
• attempt to access accounts, data, systems, or networks without authorization;
• interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, or operation of the Service;
• upload malicious code, harmful files, or content designed to damage systems;
• reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law allows it;
• use automated access in a way that overloads or abuses the Service.

6. Third-Party Services

Paperasse may rely on or integrate with third-party services. Your use of those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies from the third-party providers. Paperasse is not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, security, or practices.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our privacy disclosures or privacy policy, if provided separately. By using Paperasse, you acknowledge that Paperasse may process information about you and your content as needed to provide and operate the Service.

8. Software and Downloads

Paperasse may provide application downloads or install links. You may use those downloads only for your own authorized use of Paperasse. Downloads may update automatically or require manual updates, and older versions may stop working.

9. AI and Search Features

Paperasse may include search, summarization, or other AI-assisted features. AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your intended use. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, professional, or other important decisions.

10. Fees

Some features may be offered for free, while others may require payment or a separate agreement. If paid features are introduced, applicable pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be provided before you purchase or subscribe.

11. Service Availability

We aim to keep Paperasse useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable because of maintenance, outages, security incidents, third-party failures, or other reasons.

12. Disclaimers

Paperasse is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paperasse and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Paperasse and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

15. Termination

You may stop using Paperasse at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Paperasse or others, or used the Service in a way that may cause legal, security, operational, or reputational harm.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice, such as updating this page or notifying users through the Service. Your continued use of Paperasse after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
